Basecamp Hotel - Longyearbyen

The ambiance of Basecamp is really good, with beautiful wood surfaces enhancing the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast offered a variety of delicious options, including the standout Eggs Benedict. The staff consistently were really good, provided valuable insights and recommendations about Svalbard. The central location made it easy to access local attractions and dining options.

The seating in the family room could be more comfortable for extended relaxation.

Spotlessly clean and well-organised room provided with natural wood furnitures, private bathrooms and coffee available. Excellent comfy location, right in the town centre. And close to the hotel's airport shuttle, all the excellent restaurants, pubs, and shops in the area and Longyearbyen and the other reviews.

The place is cozy and beautifully unique. The breakfast was a standout, especially the fresh Eggs Benedict. Every staff member seemed like a friend, always eager to help. The location is perfect, right on the main street, and excursions are super easy to book.

I was forced to book a triple room despite better options available, utterly ridiculous! I would've been satisfied with a room upgrade as compensation but clearly, that was too much to ask. Almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.

Comfortable, marvellous location in the main shopping area of the village. Unique & perfectly clean room with a compact bathroom and the style of trapper cabins and coffee.

Had the guest room and it was unique and fancy with a book.

The two nights spent here while exploring the stunning Adventfjorden were good. I particularly loved the breakfast with the delicious Eggs Benedict and how thoughtfully the chef accommodated dietary preferences. The communal areas were perfect for relaxing with a hot drink after adventure-filled days. It was also great that the airport bus had a stop right outside.

Sipping fresh coffee while enjoying breakfast of Eggs Benedict was bliss. The cozy wood interior gave a warm touch amidst chilly weather. The staff seemed like friends, always ready to assist. For an lovely arctic experience, this place is a must-visit.

Basecamp offers a unique experience in Longyearbyen, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. The cozy wooden interiors provided a good atmosphere, while the breakfast spread was excellent! Plus. I loved that there was a leisure room where I could unwind after a day of exploration!

Cozy room, the hotel is perfect location near the grocery store and restaurants. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the on-site facilities like the bar/lounge area and leisure room enhance the experience.

Basecamp is like an old trapper's cabin, cozy and inviting right in the heart of town. The location makes it super easy to walk to great restaurants, pubs, and shops. The breakfast was excellent, especially the freshly made scrambled eggs. You can treat yourself to a massage at polar spa.
